After 11+ years as a dietitian, I’m combining my passion for nutrition with a love for design. I create clean, engaging websites with a touch of fun for fellow dietitians and small businesses. Despite no formal training in design – I know what works and how to bring it to life online!

How I got here

Over 20 years ago, armed with a library book called “HTML for Dummies”, I built my very first webpage and dreamed of one day working as a web designer. As fate would have it, I instead found myself on the path to obtain my Registered Dietitian (RD) credential. But I never forgot about my interest in design.

My career as a dietitian has led me all over the map within the nutrition space. Over my 11 years as an RD, you could have found me…

  • at the hospital, teaching diabetes classes and creating patient education handouts that *actually* looked nice (sorry, marketing department for going rogue)
  • convincing the whole dietitian team we should wear matching scrubs instead of business casual attire, to better identify our department (my greatest legacy)
  • hosting cooking demos, writing blog posts, and doing media gigs on the morning news as a retail dietitian

Or perhaps you might have found me…

  • building interactive lobby displays and managing bone mineral medications as a renal dietitian
  • teaching other dietitians about kidney nutrition online and at conferences
  • building a private practice from the ground up – including building my website & creating all my own education materials

Although my dietetic career has been wide-ranging, a constant thread has been using design to effectively educate and communicate.

In 2023, I decided to delve into web design & development for fellow RDs and small business owners – a longtime passion finally fully realized. And here we are!

We have two adorable cats at home, Clarence and Mia, and we usually have 2-3 foster kitties around as well! We foster for a wonderful group called Forever Fortunate Felines.

Running Around Chicago

As a kid I hated running, but somehow I’ve become that person who runs marathons (and half marathons, 10Ks, 5Ks, etc). My fav place to run is the Chicago lakefront.

I’ve loved visiting cities like Barcelona, Paris, Gotenburg, San Francisco, and Montreal. A trip with city sights and scenic views is where it’s at for me! My dream trip? Japan 🇯🇵
